We are rapidly approaching the end of the first semester (2 and 1/2 more weeks), which means we are halfway through the kindergarten year!
Last week, the class spent a good amount of our learning time on 2 of our National Symbols: Statue of Liberty and the Bald Eagle. The students also demonstrated their artistic skills with their constructed models and drawings of theses national symbols. In math, we focused on measurable attributes. We used non standard units to explore and compare length and height.
The week of December 5th, we will address kindergarten standards and do some fun activities with a gingerbread man theme. The following week, we will have themes related to the holiday season.
