SMART GOALS
Each Kindergarten student is being asked to select a goal that he/she would like to accomplish by the end of the first 9 weeks (October 9). Your child will be able to work on the selected goal at school and at home. Please talk with your child about what foundational skill he/she wants to accomplish. These goals can be in line with Kindergarten Standards too. Here are some examples:
I will...
name 32 of the 52 letters
identify sounds for all the consonant letters
count to 50 or 100
read and spell 20 sight words
100 Club
The students learned about 100 club on Friday and they were so excited! When the students are ready to count to 100, they will get to have their name added to the 100 club.
