Dear Parents,
We are off and running as 2018 Kinders! The students understand that during the first half of the year they were just learning what Kindergarten was all about. But now, they are experienced kindergarteners who are focused on becoming independent readers, writers, and mathematicians.
Quarter 3 SMART Goals
It was wonderful that so many students met their 2nd quarter goal! Each student has now identified a smart goal for the 3rd quarter. I will be sending that information home the week of January 15th. Work at school and home to support your child's goal is the best way to ensure his/her success.
Quarter 3 Homework
All students were given a homework journal along with their homework calendar. The assignments should be dated and completed inside the journal. Many of the homework assignments this month focus on helping your child practice their writing skills. The one on one support that you as parents can offer during homework is so beneficial to student growth.
